Is it possible to make a wikipedia search for "Harry Pearson" result in a "Harry Pearson disambiguation" page? Typing in "Harry Pearson" directs to the cricketer. Robertromejr (talk) 19:41, 30 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hagiography in lede[edit]

"Pearson is considered the most influential figure in the history of audiophile journalism.[1]"

The footnote is to an obituary written in his own magazine, by a friend and co-worker/employee. I think that is pushing it in terms of sourcing, especially when there are other competing figures (J. Gordon Holt, for example).

I think it should be removed, or at the very least, rephrased in a less superlative manner. Huw Powell (talk) 02:27, 4 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

As an audiophile of 60+ years I personally agree with that statement about Pearson as is. That said, you could modify it to say he "is widely considered to be . . ." Arahl1 (talk) 16:53, 9 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
