Bot-created subpage[edit]

A temporary subpage at User:Polbot/fjc/Horace Gray was automatically created by a perl script, based on this article at the Biographical Directory of Federal Judges. The subpage should either be merged into this article, or moved and disambiguated. Polbot (talk) 23:13, 4 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Confirmed the next day?[edit]

"On 1881, President Chester A. Arthur nominated Gray to a vacancy on the Supreme Court of the United States; he was confirmed the following day, replacing Nathan Clifford."

This is at odds with what the source for the article claims. [1]

I quote the full timeline there: " President Chester A. Arthur nominated Gray to the Supreme Court of the United States on December 20, 1881, and the Senate confirmed the appointment on January 8, 1882. Gray served on the Supreme Court for twenty years. He submitted his resignation on July 9, 1902, to become effective on the appointment of his successor. "

I wonder where this "following day comes from. The first part of the sentence does not ven mention a day.--Paul Pieniezny (talk) 09:00, 15 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
