There is a contradiction in notions and ideas in the term "humanitarian bombing" - it's clear that such a chaos is a prooduct of ruling psychopaths who are propagating satanism all around the world. 2014[edit]

We've now gone beyond Yugoslavia to new examples of airstrikes being used to halt or prevent atrocities, as in the American-led intervention in Syria and 2014 American-led intervention in Iraq. Full recording transcript from Reuters?[edit]

Hello Everyone! I've just come across a mention of a recording by Reuters that is said to prove Havel didn't even use the word bombing in the actual interview (that is, the version made public was heavily edited). The person who says that claims to have asked Reuters for the actual recording in which it says (in Czech):

Václav Havel: Já si myslím především, že ať už má někdo takové či onaké názory na tu strategii a taktiku, kterou Aliance zvolila, jedno nemůže, myslím, upřít nikdo tomuto zásahu Aliance. Totiž, že to je zásah, který není veden nějakými partikulárními zištnými cíli. Tam sice jsou jakési nerostné zdroje v tom Kosovu, ale o ty věru Aliance nestojí, proto tam nebojuje. Tady jde o princip. Že bojuje za lidská práva, kterým dala dokonce přednost před státní suverenitou, a tudíž mohla tedy zaútočit na Svazovou republiku Jugoslávii a to dokonce bez mandátu Rady bezpečnosti OSN, protože cítila potřebu projevit svou nelhostejnost k lidskému utrpení. To já, myslím, je zkušenost, která teprve časem se začne zhodnocovat a která nepochybně ovlivní i budoucí život té Aliance.

Redaktor: Pane prezidente, jak by podle Vás měl vypadat úspěch v Kosovu? Jaké jsou podle Vás signály úspěchu?

Václav Havel: Já myslím, že nejdůležitější je, aby bylo zastaveno vyvražďování, aby se mohli uprchlíci zvolna vracet a aby nastalo opět nějaké nové kolo politických jednání o statutu budoucího Kosova. Ale ze všeho nejdůležitější se mi zdá být přítomnost mírových sborů, která samozřejmě by bylo nejlépe, kdyby tam byla za souhlasu Jugoslávie, aby tam nebyly jako okupanti nebo jako válčící strana. Neboť ta přítomnost mírových sborů je přesně tím instrumentem, který může znamenat klíč ke všemu ostatnímu. I k tomu zastavení toho vyvražďování a vyhánění lidí z domovů i k eventuálním - vytvořit jakýsi prostor pro eventuální další politická jednání, k zabránění té katastrofě humanitární, jak se to nazývá, k té humanitární asistenci. K tomu všemu by napomohla přítomnost těch mírových sborů. Ostatně jejich přítomnost by znamenala i vaši přítomnost, přítomnost nezávislých sdělovacích prostředků a před jejich očima by si nemohli dovolovat to, co si tam dovolují teď, když je nikdo nevidí.
