Ilyena reincarnated?[edit]

Don't get me wrong - I'm familiar with the theory (which has never been confirmed, and remains to be only a theory). But the comment, "As Elayne is the apparent reincarnation of Ilyena, she also becomes the subject of Lanfear's scorn." - that's just inaccurate. Not only does Lanfear never show the slightest sign that she suspects Elayne is the reincarnation of Ilyena, Elayne has not yet even been a true target of her scorn. The only time Lanfear even encountered Elayne was in a dream of Rand's, and Aviendha has by far received the brunt of Lanfear's scorn. Even Min got more than Elayne did, with the scene at the end of The Great Hunt where Lanfear comes to Heal Rand. When Lanfear visited Rand in Tear, she noted that he had been marked, but she said it as she looked at his face, as if it were something she just realized. Probably because the gaze of adoration he had once given her was no longer there. She said it again a bit later, as if she had gotten confirmation of it, when Rand told her "there was never more between us than companionship". Again, no reason to suspect that she knew anything about Rand and Elayne, specifically, at that point. And sorry for the long, drawn-out explanation of why I'm removing that sentence. :) Terez27 03:32, 3 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
