Hangon #1: I object to the proposed speedy deletion. If you want to move Intensity (physics) here, propose the page move at Talk:Intensity (physics). Intensity is such a common word, that I do not think it is viable to have the article on the physics use of the term here. This redirect helps keep things organized; editors are encouraged to link to Intensity (physics) rather than to the more ambiguous Intensity. Eventually, the latter might point to the dab page. It is nonsensical for Foo to redirect Foo (bar). Either Foo (bar) should be moved to Foo as the primary topic, or Foo should be a dab; there is no reason for such an unnecessary redirect. Bring the matter up for discussion on both talk pages, and get consensus on whether the dab page or the physics article should be here. On thinking about this further, I withdraw my objection, as long as you fix all the links first. It does make sense to have the dab page at Intensity. You might want to remove your speedy request while you are working on the links, so that readers do not get misdirected in the meantime. I don't think the redirect functions while the speedy notice is on it, and it certainly won't function if an admin deletes the page.--Srleffler (talk) 03:46, 11 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I removed the speedy template for now. While I agree that Intensity (disambiguation) should probably be moved here, it's better to do that with a formal requested move and to first fix all the links that lead here. I would prefer for the speedy template not to remain on this page, as it is viewed reasonably often and we don't want to burden those people who are looking for information about intensity.
