I'm looking forward to reviewing this over the next few days. My great-uncle worked on the initial contruction of Portland's freeways, so this will be fun for me. ❯❯❯ Mccunicano☕️ 02:26, 2 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Route description[edit]

A reference for "the eight-lane Fremont Bridge, a steel tied-arch bridge that carries southbound traffic on its upper deck and northbound traffic below" would be useful.

Added.

History[edit]

Is the East-side Thruway the same thing as the East Bank (Eastbank) Freeway? I'm not really sure where the East-side Thruway is mentioned in any of the references I can access, though References 9 and 28 mention the East Bank Freeway.

Yes, they are the same general corridor. I've moved up the Moses document to make this clearer.

References[edit]

  • An error message comes up from the url provided for Reference 1.
    • It's working for me (using Chrome on Windows 10).
      • It wasn't coming up because I'm not in the US. I looked it up using a VPN and it came up just fine.
  • Links to the first instances of sources from The Oregonian, Federal Highway Administration, Portland Tribune, and KGW should be provided.
    • Done.

Overall the article looks great and does an excellent job neutrally covering the highway's development through the freeway revolts. Just a few tweaks should be all that's needed for this to pass. Cheers, ❯❯❯ Mccunicano☕️ 18:02, 5 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Mccunicano: Thanks for the review. I've fixed the issues you've mentioned. SounderBruce 21:47, 6 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for making those changes. I looked over the Moses document and the Federal Highway Administration references and everything checks out. Adding all of the different names for I-5's predecessors might be a bit off topic since the topic is about I-405, so it's good the way it is here, though the Moses document notes it as the "East-Side Thruway" rather than the East-side Thruway. Either way the article meets the criteria for good articles, so this passes. Thanks for adding another quality article about the infrastructure of the Pacific Northwest! ❯❯❯ Mccunicano☕️ 01:09, 7 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
