There are currently (2006) believed to be just over 10,000 Muslims in Estonia but no mosques.

Please give a source for this statement. The 2000 census says there are 1387 Muslims, maybe now there are some more or some less, but 10 000 seems to be a gross overestimate.

The source is probably the first link, A Mosque with a view. However, the US State Department's International Religious Freedom Report 2004, which is the source of many figures in the main article Islam by country, says "There were also communities of Muslims, Buddhists, and many other denominations and faiths; however, each of these minority faiths had fewer than 6,000 adherents." So for this article to be in line with others, the figure should at least be reduced to 6000. If you count all Tatars and Azeris (etc..) living in Estonia as Muslims, you may get a figure even larger than 10 000. The problem is, of course, that according to the census (2000) only a minority of these people actually report themselves to be Muslims. Maybe some of them have "found" islam meanwhile, so the number may now be greater than 1387. Lebatsnok 11:13, 9 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
