Douglas in Name.[edit]

Shouldnt this be article be moved to James Douglas-Hamilton, 4th Duke of Hamilton and him be reffered to as such in the article, as I presume he was a Douglas-Hamilton like his father and brother. Any reason for this omission? Nocrowx (talk) 02:34, 11 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Some editors, who believe everything written in Cracroft's online Peerage is the equivalent of it being chiselled in granite, objected...And, because he is generally referred to by his peerage title, there are no contemporary sources referring to him as D-H that I can find. Though I agree with you, it should be changed. From the marriage of Selkirk and Duchess Anne, all descendants of that pairing have had variations of the name.
