Calvet[edit]

I am not sure that it is correct to list Benfield as playing General Jean-Baptiste Calvet in Sharpe. Although in the Bernard Cornwell Sharpe novels this is indeed the character's name (it is confirmed by Napoleon himself in Sharpe's Devil), this is not established on screen. I do not recall him being identified as other than Calvet or General Calver in his first two appearances in the TV movie series (played by a different actor), but in Sharpe's Revenge, the only time Benfield played the part, his on screen credit is definitely just Calvet, but on screen another character in the final court martial scene mentions a sworn statement by General Maurice Calvet. The Sharpe TV series had habit of changing names from the novels, so I in the absence of any on screen evidence supporting the name Jean-Baptiste (and evidence actually suggesting this is not this version of the character's name) I would say it would be safer and fairer to just list him as playing General Calvet, so I have changed this (and changed the entry to the specific Sharpe TV film he appeared in rather than a link to the generic series).
