Article started[edit]

Continued followup on Baron Carpenter line that became the Earl of Tyrconnell line. At this point it is a stub article. More info is needed about his life. Any help appreciated. Jrcrin001 (talk) 21:41, 3 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Death date[edit]

Burke's… Extinct Peerages (1866) and Cokayne (Edition 1, Volume 7) agree that Tyrconnell died on 25 June 1853. Cokayne adds that his will was proved in April 1853. Hmmm….

However, contemporaneous newspaper reports note that Viscount Melbourne (d. 29. Jan 1853), the Earl of Oxford (d. 19 Jan. 1853), and Tyrconnell died within a fortnight of each other, all three peerages becoming extinct.

Cracroft says he died on 26 Jan. 1853.

Could someone please check some citable sources on this? Thanks.—Dah31 (talk) 00:34, 24 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
