Production credits[edit]

In the side bar, Albini should be credited as "recorded by", not as a producer. I say this because he never likes to be credited as a "producer." I'd make the change, but everytime I try and do a preview, the entire line's removed. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.181.43.160 (talk) 04:21, 30 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I suspect that is a function of the infobox formatting. -- Beardo (talk) 22:45, 15 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Cover art controversy[edit]

Not sure if this is relevant but this is from an interview with Jenny Saville from 2005 - "Against one of the studio walls is the study for a recent painting, Stare. Again from a newspaper cutting, it is a picture of a young girl, one side of her face a large birthmark. Saville is animated as she talks of the picture. How you can charge a painting, create tension. The sense of the blood underneath the skin, how the stain becomes confused with the shadow of the nose." - http://www.guardian.co.uk/artanddesign/2005/oct/22/art.friezeartfair2005 -- Beardo (talk) 22:45, 15 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Further controversy over this in Ireland, according to The Irish Times. http://www.irishtimes.com/theticket/articles/2009/0522/1224247060671.html --candlewicke 20:39, 23 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

William's Last Words[edit]

I have moved this information into the 'Background' section as it adds nothing to the 'Release' details. Absurdtrousers (talk) 09:47, 19 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

About singles[edit]

Right now it says that During an interview with Lowe, Wire said there would be no singles released from the album. Not trying to argue with this one, it's not verifable now using this link but I think I saw that mentioned a few times in other interviews. However, Peeled Apples or Jackie Collins Existential Question Time are kind of promotional/radio singles. I know this is disputable because theres no strict definition of single here. Also I noticed that on discography page unser singles are only typical retail releases and some are even marked as promos and not singles (Underdogs single so it's even more messy, but perhaps there is a way to rewrite it to say "no typical singles issued" or something like that. I can't do it without making multiple sentences (due to my English level) or without posting false info like Wire said there would be no typical singles released, so I'm posting here. Maybe someone else can do that. --Chaosu¹ (talk) 22:57, 1 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Reception[edit]

I've noticed for some time that the section regarding the critical success of the album has been removed and never spoken of again - indeed, I think it was a very short-lived section. Any idea why this is? Was it superfluous? Laydsb (talk) 18:06, 3 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
