--ESBPGEN (talk) 15:23, 8 December 2017 (UTC) ==Discussion== Kilquade was never given any status other than as a townland. It is incorrect to refer to it as a 'village'.[reply]
A more appropriate source of 'history' would be

  • A Garden and a Grave: Kilquade by John Masterson
  • Place names of Wicklow by Liam Price
  • Jacob Neville's map of Wicklow (1760)

The 1901 and 1911 census' are also an interesting source of information on the population of Kilquade particularly Priestsnewtown. Care should be taken with these sources however as there are various transcription errors e.g. Kelbride instead of Kilbride etc.

Well, as clearly stated (with link provided) I got the bit of history of the Kilquade Parish Church from the Kilquade Parish Website. I thought that was more honest than re-writing material from a single source (I have no other source) and presenting it as mine! As for being "in the public domain" it is on a parish website on the Internet. I'm not sure what that makes it legally speaking; but I'd be rather surprised if the catholic Church were upset with me reproducing a few paras from a parish website. As the facility for "block quotes" is provided in the Wiki editing page I'm a bit puzzled by all this. Can I only quote myself? (Sarah777 23:35, 6 May 2007 (UTC))[reply]

I have removed the copyvio tag. Your explanation seems reasonable. Thanks. DP 03:43, 7 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for the rewrite. Legally speaking publishing something on the internet does not make it public domain. Only a clear statement (or law) can do that. Garion96 (talk) 21:31, 12 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks Garion - How the heck did you spot this?!! You Admins scare 'lil ole me :) (Sarah777 02:27, 13 July 2007 (UTC))[reply]
This article was on my watchlist. Although, to tell you the truth, I have no idea why I put it there anymore. :) Garion96 (talk) 21:29, 13 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
