Talk:Kilrathi
Kilrathi War was nominated for deletion. The discussion was closed on 19 February 2009 with a consensus to merge. Its contents were merged into Kilrathi. The original page is now a redirect to this page. For the contribution history and old versions of the redirected article, please see its history; for its talk page, see here. |
New version as of 03 November 2005
[edit]I've rewritten the whole article since it looked to lack a lot of information regarding one of the main subjects in the Wing Commander universe. I tried to integrate wherever possible the contents of the previous version, sometimes rewording the sentences, and subdivided the article into different paragraphs.
I removed the Ralgha nar Hhallas spoiler because I feel it really doesn't belong to the Kilrathi article: I believe it doesn't add any relevant information to understand who the Kilrathi are and it is something that would be more appropriate to include in the Ralgha nar Hhallas article (if it isn't already included). Fair use rationale for Image:Sivar-eshrad.jpg
[edit]Image:Sivar-eshrad.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Merge discussion
[edit]I prodded this article because I could not find independent third party sources to WP:verify notability. Someone removed the prod because it "obviously exists in fiction". But the threshold for inclusion on Wikipedia is that there are third party sources that talk about the topic directly and explain its real world importance. I still think this is deletion worth, because the only sources I could find online were official Wing Commander books and game guides. But I started a merge discussion to consider alternatives including merging or redirecting... or improving it if it's at all possible.
Please post your thoughts. Shooterwalker (talk) 19:31, 17 July 2010 (UTC)
There is far too much original research and most of it is in-universe. i suggest something in between, merge what's really important and delete the rest that makes the article in-universe.Bread Ninja (talk) 19:56, 17 July 2010 (UTC)
- There's also Kilrathi War which is essentially one-half of the Kilrathi article. Nifboy (talk) 00:13, 18 July 2010 (UTC)
- I honestly don't know how that worked out, the refs aren't specifically entered, and they aren't from a second or third party.Bread Ninja (talk) 00:16, 18 July 2010 (UTC)
- Yah it aint pretty. Should we merge both articles into the series? Shooterwalker (talk) 17:42, 18 July 2010 (UTC)
- Again, merge what's really important, i can't see how merging it completely would do any good.Bread Ninja (talk) 19:31, 18 July 2010 (UTC)
