Genre[edit]

Please explain why her genre is being changed to Alternative Rock. You are changing with no explanation or rationale. She's a pop singer and has only charted on pop charts. If she releases another album with a different sound then her genre can be reevaluated. Royalbroil 05:55, 23 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Birth date[edit]

I am from the German Wikipedia and I think 1986 is the correct birth year. According to Irish press she is supposed to be 33 years old meaning she was either born in 1986 or 1987. On her Twitter she more or less says that her birthday is in September. The year should be 1986 then. As I see the editor has given no source for the claim that she was born in 1987 so you might have to undo the edit or something. If you have a source that states she was in fact born in 1987, then please tell me. I'd have to fix it in the German article then. --CaroFraTyskland (talk) 13:19, 5 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The Sunday Independent published an article about her on 1 February 2009 when she was 22 years old: Molony, Julia (1 February 2009). "Why you should know about Lesley Roy". Sunday Independent. p. 11. Quote: “The 22-year-old may still be relatively unknown back home, but she is about to break the United States.” --AFBorchert (talk) 09:33, 25 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
And the Evening Herald titled a picture of her “A star in waiting..?” with the caption “Wave to the audience: Lesley Roy (16), from Balbriggan, lines out for the Dublin regional heat of the Shockwaves Unsigned Music Competition” on 26 November 2002: "A star in waiting..?". Evening Herald. 26 November 2002. p. 21.
