One of the links here is about Levente, the brother of two Hungarian kings. (Ándras I and Béla I) So this can be more than just a name-stub. However, I'm not sure there's enough information about Levente to warrant its own article. --BluePlatypus 14:47, 15 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

"this can be more than just a name-stub" of course there were a lot of people called Levente in Hungarian history. I found some contradiction about, what the eldest son of Árpád was called: Tarhos or Levente?

"Régi magyar név, Árpád fejedelem legidősebb fiának neve. Jelentése levő, létező. Másik magyarázat szerint levőcske, kis lény, legújabb kutatások szerint vadász a név jelentése."

While in the Árpád article stands Tarhos. --Zslevi 16:01, 14 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Arpad's son was Liüntika. This name later associated (falsely) with the name Levente. Modern references never call Liüntika Levente. 81.183.150.191 09:35, 31 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

This guy is not really worthy of an article if so he is so obscure no one knows what century he lived in. Please add some interesting details with references to make the article more encyclopedic. Thanks. Edison 01:55, 18 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

It intended to be just a given name article, but some **** converted it to histrical article. Then I reverted it, he converted again. So the current state is a compromise. (Off: I started it because one of my distant american relatives thought Levente is a girls's name, and I'm also called Levente) Zslevi 22:42, 24 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I made a fork. Altough even I doubt that he deserves an own historical article. But so many historical pages link here, that it shouldn't be replaced by a name article. Zslevi 21:03, 24 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

A deletition tag appered here. I don't really mind, but I have a few concerns:

  1. As previously stated, this article started as a given-name article. (The Hungarian wikipedia had one too. )
  2. Then somebody stated, it should be in the wictionary.
  3. Then somebody converted it to a history-stub. (A lot of Hungary related articles have Levente link, it lead here so they felt they have to correct the mistake. But on the Hungarian given-name pages there were links to this page too. )
  4. I agree, that Levente, son of Vazul wasn't a really important person. (Indeed, there are a few links to this page.) The Hungarian wikipedia doesn't even has an article about him. Instead it has an article about the given-name. But we could have an article about him, if we would translate the Polish version of this article.

So my opinion is that this article would be very probably recreated because there are enough links which point here. The best solution would be, if somebody would translate the Polish version. Zslevi 23:15, 6 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • In response to the note on my talk page to look here. You can try Wikipedia:Translation/*/Lang/pl to get the artilce http://pl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Levente converted to English here. But I don't know how that will work. I don't read polish at all, but at glance I would say even if translated from there to here, without references it would not pass WP:N. It's up to you, if you do nothing in a week or so this artilce will be gone, you can try again later when you have more resources. If I can be of any other help let me know.
