Untitled[edit]

Completely rewrote the article with references to the original texts of the Culavamsa, references and notes. The previous article consisted of a lot of unsubstantiated claims and was completely the wrong tone for an encyclopedia. Furthermore it contained a long description of ancient warfare in Sri Lanka which was derived from the Mahavamsa which does not deal with this period in Sri Lankan history. A discussion of such military tactics would be better off in an article of its own or under the entry for Parakramabahu the Great. DocSubster 13:46, 1 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  • I fixed the references for you. There are several manuals on wiki that can show you how references should be cited and formatted; you can also look inside my edits to see how I formatted. What I did is not perfect, but it's a lot better. You also need more inline citations. A rule of thumb is at least one per paragraph.
  • You also need more internal links within the article, as well as links *to* the article.
  • The lead paragraph should be shorter, and then a second paragraph should be inserted covering her death and significance. The lead should summarize the body of the article. Other than that, I found it well written. Do you think you can expand it a bit? Jeffpw 22:13, 1 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
