Untitled[edit]

Lisa Lutz has been nominated for speedy deletion. I believe that this can be remedied by noting:

1. This is the first article I've started on my own; please give me some time to gather my ammunition, and please suggest remedies before you do delete the article!

2. I added a sentence about her notability in the first paragraph

3. I've been reading Wikipedia:Notability_(people), and believe that Lisa Lutz is notable for the following reasons:

  • Her novels have many reviews available on the internet and in mainstream publications, such as USA Today, People, etc. I have only cited one, but many more are available; should I cite more?
  • She is listed as a screenwriter on IMDB.com, with her DOB.
  • She is the author of three, soon to be four, novels
  • Her first novel was nominated for three "best first" awards
  • She is the author of several articles in mainstream publications, e.g. Salon, for which references could be provided

3. I have included biographical information from both IMDB.com and her own official website; is this not sufficient? Where should I look for other sources?

4. While biographical information is a bit scanty, I believe that the notability of Lisa Lutz herself is well grounded, as she has authored three novels and been nominated for three prizes. Should the article be subject to deletion when the sources are lacking, but the subject of the article is herself notable?

5. While I don't think it is relevant to the article, "The Spellman Files" reached #27 on the New York Times bestseller lists[1] cojoco (talk) 10:40, 9 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

DO NOT DELETE!![edit]

Wikipedia should not delete Lisa Lutz's page! It is a way for her fans to communictae with one-another. Thanks

I just saw Lisa Lutz at Kinokuniya in Sydney, tonight, and she said that it's pretty much all written. That's the last one she's contractually obliged to provide, though, so who knows if there will be more? cojoco (talk) 12:15, 13 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
