Standardized template
[edit]I've been working on a template to standardize the appearance of the all list subpages while making them easier to edit going forwards and more accessible by using standard HTML list elements. The template works by simply passing a nested wikitext list as the first parameter, and it handles all the special formatting. So for example,

would produce
The template is available at User:BrandonXLF/Template:Contents topic list.
Before converting the lists to use the template, there were a few design choices I had to make. First, bolded items are separated by their list by a ":" and I added a hanging indent. I converted a few pages for demo at User:BrandonXLF/Wikipedia:Contents/Lists. Please let me know if you have any design suggestions. Thanks, – BrandonXLF (talk) 03:17, 19 April 2024 (UTC)
- I've updated Wikipedia:Contents/Lists/Technology and applied sciences to use the template. – BrandonXLF (talk) 18:05, 27 June 2024 (UTC)
