Cut of meat

I live in the eastern part of the US and at least around here London Broil is always round steak. This article infers that it is usually flank steak. Perhaps that was true years ago before flank steak because popular for fajitas and the price went up.

I live in Ottawa, Ontario and the London Broil that I buy is ground pork surrounded by tenderised round steak. Many years ago, I used to buy it at the Central Meat Market (may it rest in peace!) in the Byward Market and the ground pork had all sorts of seasonings in it. Southern Ontario, not "Canada"

Last section refers only to several commercial outlets in Southern Ontario, and none at all in the rest of Canada. So it is incorrect to begin the paragraph with: "In Canada ...". This may define London broil in Southern Ontario, but that does not, by definition, extend to the rest of Canada.

The paragraph should probably begin: "In South-Central Canada..." or: "In parts of Southern Canada...".

English city

Could we be pedantic and change 'English city' to United Kingdom?

The article would be improved by more info on the etymology of this term, which is completely unknown in the UK. Some derivation from Ontario would make sense. --Ef80 (talk) 14:25, 27 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I was wondering how it got its name of London broil. Why not Witchita broil or Munich broil. Why is it 'London'?
