Continued influence[edit]

I can claim coining the nickname Lymeswold Liz for Liz Truss, and although I can't provide proof of that, you'll see the name crop up time and again in Graun comments.SamXT (talk) 19:54, 29 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Why Lymeswold died[edit]

When Lymeswold was first produced, it went to cash & carries for the small village and independent shops. Those shops jumped on this and produced a substantial demand by the general public. The producers then pushed it into the supermarkets and deprived the smaller shops of supply. Because of this, many of those smaller shops refused to buy what small supplies were available. Obviously, the supermarkets could not promote it as well as the smaller shops and so it went the same way as many innovative food lines. 2A00:23C7:3BAD:9201:C934:F338:69A4:9D8E (talk) 20:56, 6 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
