Another interesting concept could be to make the "who where" = who

In other words, simply assume the sender NAME itself is carried around, not the IP address

packet format could be like:

( Local switching node-IP header )::: DNAME : SNAME

The IP header changes per node/hop by hop

more like, if my local gateway is 1.2.3.4 1.2.3.4:::his name ::: my name

and that 1.2.3.4 or whatever changes per node.

Why no mention of Microsoft's actions leading up to dissolution of MARID?[edit]

Are wikipedians afraid of Redmond or something? Linking a non-existent podcast is pretty lame.

FWIW, MARID failed because Microsoft "submarine patented" the technology and got caught in the act. This is a matter of historical fact and not opinion. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 205.153.180.229 (talk) 19:14, 14 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
