Note for future reference[edit]

- founded in Tipton, Iowa in 1897, offed a "dual protection" plan that carried life insurance and as well as a savings plan for old age^[1] 1898 mem 9,853 in 430 lodge. Appears to have disbanded by 1905. Schmidt cites Preuss.^[2] One item in worldcat. Apparently mentioned in Preuss (1924). Not mentioned in cyclopedia.
