Worldwide view[edit]

An editor has added a tag saying this should be more balanced in terms of reference to the US. It might be better to change this article to 'Mansion Tax (UK)' and remove all references to US. Tomintoul (talk) 19:32, 29 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

In the absence of any response to the above comment, I intend to remove the worldwide view tag and brief reference to 'other countries' in the near future. This article is really about UK Mansion Tax. Tomintoul (talk) 11:17, 25 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Tag deleted – this article is about UK Mansion TaxTomintoul (talk) 11:39, 22 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. Philafrenzy (talk) 12:02, 22 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I mean tags like that are just annoying but I came here to read more on New York's mansion tax so I was hoping there was some coverage there. --Saledomo (talk) 08:20, 15 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Why is there so much weight given to Labour's position in this article?[edit]

It feels disengenuous to have so much copy covering Labour's position, and very little to the Conservatives. Indeed, George Osborne is mentioned, but I don't think the Conservatives. If this was such a Lib Dem motion, then they should make up the bulk of the article 2A00:23C4:AF37:F01:ED58:80A8:3521:4728 (talk) 08:28, 16 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

The reason is, although it was initially a LibDem concept, it was Labour who drove it forward as an election issue.Tomintoul (talk) 08:32, 18 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
