Note on Speedy Deletion[edit]

(29 October 2008) Note on Speedy Deletion tag inserted by user II MusLiM HyBRiD II: The Mid-Atlantic Council of Latin American Studies (MACLAS) is (obviously) not "a company or corporation" as the speedy deletion criteria requires. MACLAS is a scholarly society founded in 1979. For indications on "why the subject is important or significant," please see the entry.

Note on cleanup and notability Tags[edit]

(29 October 2008) Note on cleanup and notability Tags inserted by JLaTondre: I have cleaned up the article, added sections, wikified. I am not sure what else needs to be cleaned up -- please make any concrete suggestions here (if you actually do have any)! As far as notability, compare this article to most any of those listed on List_of_learned_societies.

The most important requirement is the need for reliable, third-party sources. --jbmurray (talkcontribs) 15:33, 29 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
