good job! --Bobak 19:59, 9 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I have removed the false statement regarding Barry Sanders last college game being played in the Coca Cola Classic. His last collegiate game was actually December 30, 1988 against Wyoming in the Holiday Bowl. Doafhat 03:29, 13 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Merging

[edit]

This game was renamed the Coca-Cola Classic, but it remains the same event, in fact, this article contains the results from the Coca-Cola years. There is no reason for separate articles. Saget53 (talk) 16:49, 3 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

While there is indeed no reason for separate articles, it is important that the Coca-Cola Classic article be the one to be deleted. The Mirage Bowl deserves its own article under the original title. Its uniqueness and clarity team with its originality to make it indespensible, whereas for clarity, the Coca-Cola Classic should be deleted to avoid confusion with the Basketball and Volleyball events under that name. The adherence to the title of the Mirage Bowl with contribute both to its relevance in College Football History, as well as benefit the entire Wikipedia by avoiding confusion with homonymnous but unrelated events. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 114.148.176.131 (talk) 07:51, 14 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
