About Mr. Bug Goes to Town Being the Only American Non-Disney Animated Film in the 1940s
[edit]I don't get it. How come Mr. Bug Goes to Town was the only American animated film not produced by Disney during the 40s? Was it because the other studios were too busy producing live-action films and slapstick cartoons, was it because the other studios wanted to make some animated films but they decided not to after the box office failure of said film and the attack on Pearl Harbor, was it because they didn't wanna copy the Disney formula and/or outdo Walt Disney himself, was it because feature-length animation wasn't their thing? Also, why weren't some of the foreign animated films of that decade released and/or distributed internationally? Was it because the other studios wanted to do so, but they didn't get a chance to get the rights to those films, was it because they weren't allowed to get the rights to or distribute foreign animated films during that period, was it because they were worried that they would flop at the box office if they ever did that, or was it because releasing and distributing them internationally wasn't their thing? --Ktommy (talk) 14:57, 5 April 2015 (UTC)
