"and ls is set up to work by default on Windows XP systems." Oh? It doesn't seem to be so on my system. Are you sure you haven't installed Cygwin or Services for UNIX and using its "ls"? I think this is an error and as such should be corrected.

It's not on my machine with cygwin on either, I've removed it mavhc 12:38, 31 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Merge this article into "Mode (computer interface)"?

Anyone have an opinion on merging this article into Mode (computer interface)? They already share a lot of information, and they're not entirely separate topics, since any discussion of computer modes is bound to focus on the errors that they can cause.
