Birth and death[edit]

Best I can tell, he was born in 1901 or 1904 and probably died in 1981. Would love help nailing this down! Thmazing (talk) 02:53, 25 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

A 1955 wedding announcement listed both parents,[1] but in 1965 only Violet is listed, implying either that Monroe had died or that they divorced[2]); however, when their daughter had a baby in 1970, Violet and Monroe were listed as grandparents with Violet living in Palm Springs and Monroe living in Phoenix so probably divorced.[3] Violet died in 1981.[4] I'm amazed that there is no obituary for Monroe on newspapers.com.
