For notability purposes, it would be good to describe his legal battles in Israel, e.g. over marriage issues. HG | Talk 20:17, 7 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I think most people here (Israel Progressive Movement) know him for his halakhic and congregational work. His marriage battles I think were an outgrowth of his congregational work, but I'm not sure about that. In any case they weren't important enough to even merit mention when he received an honorary doctorate in 2005 (see http://www.huc.edu/newspubs/pressroom/2005/11/ordain1.shtml).
