Seljuk ?

[edit]

It is claimed that the interior of the mosque presents the most beautiful example of the Turkish-Seljuk art of calligraphy. Is this claim sourced ? The best examples of Seljuk architecture are from the mid 13th century, approximatelly three centuries before 1570 . I think the word Ottoman is more suitable in this phrase.Nedim Ardoğa (talk) 07:23, 8 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Is this really by Kuyucu Murad Pasha?

[edit]

Is this mosque really commissioned by Kuyucu Murad Pasha? He held the grand viziership from 1606 to 1611, 40 after before this mosque was built. How did he manage to have it commissioned as a young man with a low rank?

The Turkish page says it was recently discovered not to be commissioned by Kuyucu Murad Pasha (obviously), but by a certain Murad Pasha of Karaman. Ithinkicahn (talk) 21:28, 12 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Other Murat Paşa Mosques

[edit]

There are many Murat Pasha Mosques. See https://tr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Murat_Pa%C5%9Fa_Camii. I suggest renaming this article to include its location Antalya somewhere. -Yozer1 (talk) 12:19, 24 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
