Cybernetics definition[edit]

Cybernetics is the study of control and communication in living and man-made systems. It does not mean body modification that includes electronics - although it is sometimes used that way in popular culture.Jonpatterns (talk) 10:57, 4 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Following the comment above I just edited "cybernetics" in the second paragraph to "electronic components", which seems more appropriate. Please correct or propose alternatives if this edit seems incorrect. Blackpaleskin (talk) 11:29, 21 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

The future[edit]

an international organisation that defends cyborg rights, promotes cyborg art and supports people who want to become cyborgs.[25][26] In 2017, he co-founded the Transpecies Society, an association that gives voice to people with non-human identities, raises awareness of the challenges transpecies face, advocates for the freedom of self-design and offers the development of new senses and organs in community

It would be interesting to see those rights' fight when there will be the Steel Pass for cyborgs: without the Steel Pass you can't enter in restaurants, cinemas, theaters. That's why I think it is importanto to start now to think about cyber and non-humans rights, otherwise there's a non-zero risk that they will be heavely discriminated.

Date of birth[edit]

Date of birth 1984 seems to be wrong. According to Neil Harbisson's passport (see reference 18° https://munsell.com/color-blog/neil-harbisson-cyborg-interview/neil-harbisson-passport/), he was born in 1982.Marxattax (talk) 13:59, 14 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Twitter links[edit]

The twitter citations in the section § Activism could use some love, such as being converted to using cite web template, including the full tweet quotes, and adding Wayback archive URLs.

(would do myself but am on the run)
