What?

NPOV

This article is rather POV, mostly in the features section. It sounds to me like an advertisement for New Balance sneakers. I don't know enough about podiatry to trim it down but it certainly needs to be shorter and less gushing about the benifits of the various features. --TexasDex 01:40, 17 May 2006 (UTC)

Agreed, this article is a brochure, and a stupid one at that. It makes it sound like Nike walks through flea markets buying shoes, then sells them, with this nonsense, "—in contrast to its competitors in the same market space, such as Nike and Adidas, who design products in the US and Europe, but purchase the majority of their Footwear and Apparel from manufacturers in China, Vietnam, and other developing nations." Made in America

New Balance sent me this information (July 19, 2006) when I complained that the NB shoes I had just purchased read "Made in China". I can't verify the claim -- which is the only reason I haven't added it to Wikipedia -- but below is the info they sent me about product origin.

Hi, based on this article I just bought a pair of running shoes: MR1770GR to be precise. It says: 'made in China'. For me it's hard to believe the shoes are made in the US while the label says: 'made in China'. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 50.74.0.42 (talk) 21:32, 16 August 2011 (UTC)

Online retail edit

Removed nbwebexpress as official New Balance online store. New Balance does not currently have an official online store. NBWebExpress is Independently owned and operated by Express Blessings, Inc., a retail licensee of New Balance Athletic Shoe, Inc

Disapproval toward prior edits removing entire Made in USA section

I understand that the section that I added may have sounded like PR from New Balance. However, I directly referenced the source of the information(the company) I was unaware that *directly quoting* what a company says about *its own products* was a no-no. I don't understand why no one simply added to this section instead of removing it entirely. Someone should have used these statements as a counterpoint to their own information to round out a *balanced* NPOV position. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Chiaroscuros (talk • contribs).

possible new style of shoe

I own 2 pairs of your 470 style of shoe. Would like to know if there is another style that has the mesh on the sides but not on top.I have a tendency to lift my large toe when working and the mesh tears easily . I have another pair that was picked out by my wife unfortunately they are not New Balance .They have some mesh on sides but still not cool enough for the heat that I work in .
