Music Video link
[edit]The link to "Only" is not working. Why? Other videos from the same address work...what's up with this? --G VOLTT 06:11, 9 January 2006 (UTC)
- Which link exactly are you referring to? -Beatnik S. 06:44, 9 January 2006 (UTC)
- I'm referring to the link to the video on http://www.nin.com/visuals/index.html. The Hand That Feeds also doesn't seem to work. --G VOLTT 19:59, 9 January 2006 (UTC)
- Those two videos link to streamos.com, who in my experience, aren't very reliable.
- Well, I know that. Does anyone have another link to this video, seeing as this isn't up? --G VOLTT 01:17, 10 January 2006 (UTC)

Fight Club?
[edit]Is there any truth to the rumor that this song was inspired by Fight Club and Reznor's reaction to the film in terms of his personal struggle with alcoholism? My colleagues and I are trying to discuss it in another forum. It also turned up on songfacts.com. Chris noticed that the video is directed by the guy who directed Fight Club, and according to Wikipedia, the director and Reznor are planning to work on a Fight Club musical. Just what we need *headdesk* but onward... --Bluejay Young 06:58, 13 December 2006 (UTC)
- Never heard of this. I would not consider it until there turns out to be a credible source. Pomte 13:23, 4 February 2007 (UTC)
The song is acually about rejecting modern beliefs of God, and that we can only depend on our selfs in life, and not a god we created.75.68.165.212 (talk) —Preceding comment was added at 01:16, 27 May 2008 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:Cover DVD.jpg
[edit]Image:Cover DVD.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 06:30, 5 June 2007 (UTC)
Motherfucker...
[edit]Additionally, the song's 2nd verse, main chorii and overall theme refutes the well-known notions of "you and me"
- Seriously... what sort of intellectual cock-flop wrote that? Not only is chorus quite irrefutably an English word and thus is pluralised as choruses, but the root is also fucking Greek, not Latin. PHAIL++ Actually, that whole section is a load of subjective horseshit that has more place amongst the ramblings of the mentally ill on songmeanings.net than here. Have a shitty death. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.141.93.254 (talk) 20:31, 25 September 2007 (UTC)
Sampling Billie Jean?
[edit]As an avid Michael Jackson I have to question the note about the song sampling Billie Jean at the opening. While the pattern may be similar it sounds NOTHING like the drums from Billie Jean. Can someone please confirm this? Otherwise it should be tossed. :: ehmjay 03:17, 5 October 2007 (UTC)
Non-CGI objects
[edit]If Fincher owns the PowerBook in the video, wouldn't that mean that it is also a non-CGI object? Otherwise, Fincher would own a CGI PowerBook. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 130.243.249.218 (talk) 14:17, 9 March 2009 (UTC)
Song meaning
[edit]Can we pull this out of the article? Its not sourced and it doesn't add to the entry. It could be saved here in case any of it is ever deemed needed. 4.79.1.1 (talk) 17:17, 2 April 2013 (UTC)
- Already removed. It was unsourced for a while.
