Untitled[edit]

Hi -- this is my first talk post, forgive me if this is going to the wrong place. My question is about the following assertion on the Optacon page:

The Optacon project also assisted Stanford in establishing
their Integrated Circuits facilities, leading MIT’s Dean of
Engineering to remark that Stanford got the lead in
integrated circuit research because of the Optacon.

How can I track down any support of that assertion? If the original author of that statement reads this, can s/he please respond here?

Thanks,

Seth

Ableism has no place in this article[edit]

"Many users purchased used machines and cannibalized them for parts, presumably with much help from sighted, electromechanically-talented friends." No source is cited for the assertion that visually impaired people are incapable of doing this type of work. This is an opinion and does not belong here. 67.253.63.133 (talk) 04:35, 6 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
