Fair use rationale for Image:Pardise novel.jpg[edit]

Image:Pardise novel.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Assessment comment[edit]

The comment(s) below were originally left at Talk:Paradise (Morrison novel)/Comments, and are posted here for posterity. Following several discussions in past years, these subpages are now deprecated. The comments may be irrelevant or outdated; if so, please feel free to remove this section.

This page says that the author (Toni Morrison) includes Paradise as part of a trilogy. However, the actual Toni Morrison page says that the author does not confirm that the three novels including Paradise are part of a trilogy, but that critics have assumed it. These two pages need to be rectified, since they are both linked and part of the same encyclopedic site.

Removal of "Plot" Section?[edit]

This article's plot summary, aside from only describing the first three chapters, exhibits an incredibly poor quality of writing. While I understand that Paradise is a very difficult novel to summarize, the section's incompleteness and stylistic sloppiness is not particularly helpful to readers. If no one objects, I would like to remove the section altogether and replace it with a brief summary that gives an overview of the entire novel.

I guess nobody objects. --Pa2chant.bis (talk) 10:15, 17 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
