It would save new people 5 minutes if "Pars interarticularis" was actually labeled on the diagram. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.171.160.183 (talk) 07:17, 2 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I don't think it is clearly visible on this diagram. Someone should put up side views of the vertebrae. Two are needed, one for a typical cervical vertebra, and the other to represent the thoracic and lumbar vertebrae. In the meantime, I think the pars interarticularis is clearly visible in this image, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Spondylolysis.jpg, but it is not labeled there. We laymen are waiting on you anatomists.

Hangman's fracture[edit]

The text says that "hangman's fracture" is a fracture of both pars interarticularis of the C2. This is wrong, as it normally is the pedicles which are fractured, allowing the body of C2 to slip forward as it is no longer connected directly to the posterior collumn. In severe cases the C2/C3 facet joints can be subluxed or dislocated, but pars fractures are not typical. --79.243.240.123 (talk) 00:54, 23 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
