2016 page move[edit]

Fellow editors, This page was recently moved from Patrick Hickey (judoka) to Pat Hickey (OCI). I am concerned that the disambiguation portion would not be intuitive to readers unfamiliar with the article subject. Suggest that a more generic disambiguation, Pat Hickey (sports administrator), would be a better alternative. Thoughts? - Ryk72 'c.s.n.s.' 13:24, 17 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

No objection from me. jnestorius(talk) 13:28, 17 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
"OCI" is not an acceptable disambiguator. OCI is a disambiguation page, so this is a useless disambiguator -- 65.94.171.217 (talk) 02:49, 18 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
 Done Moved as discussed above. - Ryk72 'c.s.n.s.' 03:27, 18 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Recent edits[edit]

I don't want to edit war, but I believe some recent edits are not best practice, especially for WP:BLP.

  • We should not have a "controversies" section. See Wikipedia:CSECTION "Avoid sections and articles focusing on criticisms or controversies".
  • I don't think we need four subsections for "Sports administration", given that none is more than a paragraph and two are a single sentence each.
  • The introduction should state at a minimum that he was OCI president.

Discussion is welcome. jnestorius(talk) 20:57, 17 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed on all counts. Damiantgordon (talk) 21:29, 17 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
