The phase factor article is horrible. It doesn't discuss relative or global phase factors. It doesn't give examples or math showing how to determine whether something is a relative or global phase factor. Unfortunately, I can't fix it since I don't know how to find out if states have a relative or global phase factor (I'm trying to understand that myself). The book I'm reading says a and b have a relative phase factor if a = exp(i theta)b for some real theta.

Can someone who understands this material please improve the article?

Condon-Shortley phase convention[edit]
