Massive Attack

"Massive Attack" is officially on the album!!! People need to stop taking it off the singles list and confirmed tracks! The song was officially released to radio and digital download and a music video was released! Nicki has NEVER said the song won't appear on the album, and even stated that once she heard the song that that is the direction she wanted to go for the album! Leave it on the article!!! Yes the SONG was released as a single, but never confirmed for the album! The fact that she stated the song was the direction she wanted to go for the album, that absolutely never confirms on its own that it will be an album track! Singles released by other artists before were never included on the album which they were recorded for, and sometimes this will happen even with the artist stating that it is the direction they want for the album. In a uStream that she did in early August, in which she announced the album's title, she stated that the only song that has been heard by people from the album is "Your Love". If that isn't proof that "Massive Attack" won't be on the album, I don't know what is. And since it isn't on the album, it must be recognized as a buzz single and not an official single.

Okay, what the heck guys. Those producers we listed are ON THE ALBUM ACCORDING TO NICKI MINAJ. And if a track lists, we list it as a possible track on the album. First official single

Okay, so "Massive Attack" isn't going to be on the record so "Your Love" was thought to be official single #1 while "Check It Out" was supposed to be single #2. However, per this link: http://www.mtv.com/news/articles/1648698/20100924/baby_aka_the_1_stunna.jhtml the first official single is supposed to be "Right Through Me" (which just leaked) and that "Check It Out" may not even be on the album. If "Massive Attack" and "Your Love" are going to be on the album then they are the first three official singles. Considering "Check It Out" was released by will.i.am. music group/Interscope, it may just be an album track if it is from Pink Friday (similar to how the duet "Eenie Meenie" by Sean Kingston/Justin Bieber is only an album track from My World 2.0). The buzz single situation is kind of iffy because it's really not acknowledge as an official type of single. I mean Papers got a download date, a radio add date, and was included on the album. I mean you know when the label down plays it a bit. Well as far as I can tell, Nicki has always referred to "Check it Out" as a single and MTV even says the song may be included on Pink Friday but isn't officially confirmed as of yet. Either way for the time being I think we the singles should be listed as 1. Massive Attack, 2. Your Love, 3. Right Through Me. As these were all linked to Minaj's debut album. I changed it. I hope no one reverts it. As for "Massive Attack", Minaj stated that the song won't be on the record. In August she said that the only song heard from the record was "Your Love". It is still speculation especially since FMBQ radio announced that will.i.am music sent the song to radio and promoted the song. There's no mention of Cash Money/Young Money/Universal Motown. It is not being pushed by Minaj as a single from Pink Friday. That is why it was deliberately omitted. My calculated estimation is that it is a will.i.am single only but will still be featured on Pink Friday. I think it is premature to assume the track will be an official single. Singles are released digitally from albums all the time, and there is no indication of this track receiving a physical release thus far. The single cover is also the same as the album cover, and the link http://itunes.apple.com/us/album/romans-revenge-feat-eminem/id400968519 is not accessible without installation of iTunes. I understand that this was already made a subject on here, but i am re-opening it up for discussion... The song was OFFICIALLY released on iTunes (single cover and all) and even released on radio! Their was even a music video released for the single... The only album the single is actually from is Pink Friday! Just because it is ordered as "will.i.am & Nicki Minaj" that has absolutely NOTHING to do with it! Unless I see actual references that state the song is not officially from the album, it'll be added to the Pink Friday page as a single, just like it is added so in every other page that discusses Pink Friday singles!.... Doesn't matter. FMBQ radio shows that the single was promoted and released by will.i.am Music which is part of Interscope Records. It is a seperate division of Universal Music Group, compared to Universal Motown who are the backroom label for Nicki Minaj. Exactly. Being on an album and being a single from that album are not the same. The single was not released by Young Money, it was released by Interscope. When (and if) will.i.am releases the album that this single is on, it can be listed as a single from his album. It is not a single from Minaj's. Yes I understand the whole "Eenie Meanie" situation. It would also work-out with "Check It Out" if all the references above didn't state otherwise. The first reff from Billboard states "The next single from Nicki Minaj's "Pink Friday" is as much a showcase for the female MC's stylistic flair and fast improvement as it is for Will.i.am's dominance." <about "Check it out") All the references above state that the song is a single from Pink Friday, and i wouldn't even take it to heart if it wasn't from such reliable sources as Billboard & Rap-Up. I mean, Nicki even promoted the song as a single from Pink Friday in her interview with Regis & Kelly. I get that it was released through will.i.am's music group, but wouldn't it be possible to be released through will.i.am's music group for Nicki Minaj? Gaga is signed to four labels (Cherrytree, Interscope, Kon Live and the other one). Its different story. Nicki is signed to YM and CM both of which owned by Universal Motown. The fact is we have a dispute of sources here. We have reliable sources both claiming different things. However the Billboard and Rap Up sources claim something different from FMBQ however they do NOT discredit what it says. Will.i.am music (a label Nicki has no affiliation to) released the song to radio meaning they hold copyright and rights to the song. As Minaj is not on that label she is not attached to the song other than being credited as one of the featured vocalists. Echoing what Lil-unique and Chase have stated, FMQB says the single is released through Interscope NOT Young Money, therefore not a single from Pink Friday. Exclusive bonus tracks always require a cite, as the info is not available to everyone with the album. I do own the Best Buy edition and can confirm there are two bonus tracks, however, for some odd reason, this is not mentioned on mypinkfriday.com or bestbuy.com. (However, this notes that there are two bonus tracks, but they aren't specified.) Can't find the bonus track info in any reliable sources. And while official Twitter accounts are reliable in some instances, this would need official confirmation from Minaj's website or Best Buy.

I don't think they should be added yet. Does anyone actually have any evidence that if you buy the album from Best Buy you get bonus tracks? I own the album and the bonus tracks are indeed on there. It's not being made up. The problem is that no reliable sources report them. Wikipedia is constantly changing, nothing is permanent here, so I don't see what's wrong with keeping them with a citation needed tag for awhile. Writers credit

So according to Billboard at this reference: http://www.billboard.com/charts/hot-100#/album/nicki-minaj/pink-friday/1455271 if you were to click on all the individual songs (only the main edition, not the deluxe) than it lists the writers on the left hand side. Umm, I'm not even sure they have that certification in the United States. I think Silver only applies to the UK. Either way, we don't have the cites for silver. We have the cites for gold and platinum. I Help, When I Can.[12] 22:13, 4 January 2011 (UTC)

The industry does not call Radio dates a "Release".

Radio dates are 'sent to radio', 'impacting radio', etc but NOT 'released' to Radio.
