Michigan-California Lumber Company[edit]

The history of the Michigan-California Lumber Company is a major aspect of the history of the abandoned community of Pino Grande, and the company railroad is a significant element of California logging history. User:Cristiano Tomás has deleted the locomotive roster which is an important element of railfan interest. In the absence of objections, I propose to restore the roster. As a less satisfactory alternative, I would propose to transfer the bulk of the history of Pino Grande, with the locomotive roster, converting the Michigan-California Lumber Company redirect to an article and leaving the Pino Grande article a stub. The latter option is far more appropriate. The Pino Grande article should obviously have relevant history from its lumber milling past, but this level of detail is excessive for a place article, it's far more relevant in an article on the company in question. Agreed with Cristiano - a locomotive roster is never appropriate for an article about a municipality. See ym response here. Pi.1415926535 (talk) 01:09, 13 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
