The references[edit]

This is a very well-sourced article. Would anyone aside from me like to see the journal abbrevs. expanded out? Iknowyourider (t c) 06:25, 20 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It's my first wikipedia article, so let me know how I have to present the references A common way to do it in science is with author, journal abbrev., year, volume, first page.

What else would you like to know about polystannanes???

Considering the first sentence: "Tin is the only known metallic element that has been reported to form organometallic polymers comprising a backbone of metal atoms that are bonded to each other by covalent bonds." I guess that's not correct. There are several reports about polymers with a backbone comprised of covalently bound transition metals. See for instance the following references:
F. Hartl et al. Inorg. Chem. 2004, 43, 7250–7258
DOI: 10.1021/ic049216i
F. Hartl et al. Inorg. Chem. 2009, 48, 8233–8244
DOI: 10.1021/ic9008043
I propose to reformulate the sentence accordingly. Additionally, it would be nice if a polymer chemist could expand the wiki article about Inorganic Polymers.141.48.227.205 (talk) 06:34, 27 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

As long as no characterization (material properties, molar mass etc…) of the polymers is available, I will not change the statement! But feel free! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 77.59.219.211 (talk) 12:09, 22 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I only want to point out, that Wikipedia is up to now, the only encyclopedia which has such an overview about an absolutely newly developed semi-conducting material...
