Her title[edit]

This article has recently been moved from "Landgravine Maria Anna of Hesse-Homburg" to "Princess Maria Anna...". I have not checked sources as to her "most commonly used name in English", so I don't dispute the move. But I wanted to advise caution on the title accorded her in the article, which should clarify accuracy rather than popular usage. The official designation of members of the House of Hesse varied considerably with respect to their titles (Landgrave vs. Fürst {Prince}), territories, dates, and position (head of family vs cadets/females). These notes on the Hesse-Rheinfels-Rotenburg landgraviate, which also mention titles in the Hesse-Darmstadt and Hesse-Homburg branches, should be consulted when considering article edits affecting Hessian dynastic titulature.
