I will be substantially updating this article over the next few days in an attempt to bring it up-to at least B-Class on the quality scale. I suspect that this article is not being actively maintained butif anyone else has comments they are more than welcome to help out Ajbpearce (talk) 15:29, 11 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I think that this has incorrect information.

The High court found against her

The court of appeal found for her

The House of Lords found against her

these different courts are confused in original article

In a way I'm proud of Shabina begum, for standing up for her religion,
and trying to get the authorities to allow her to practice it, in a way
that she thinks is acceptable for her to follow it.
I do not however believe that she was right to do this in this instance,
because of the fact she was offered the option of wearing clothes which

comply with the Qur'an, by the school, which has a Muslim headmistress,

and also the fact that 87% of pupils are..... Muslim
I personally feel totally AGAINST a ban on Muslims wearing Niqab (full veil),
and think that Jack Straw has given British Christians a bad name,
by implying that all of them think the same way.

I just want to emphasize my personal opinion that wearing Niqab is fully acceptable, for 99.99% of the Muslims around the world.

That 0.01% represent other members of the public who are abusing the Niqab

(and Islam/Islamic teachings etc),by wearing it in order to remove the ability of being identified by members of the public/police, when trying to commit a crime etc

I'm afraid I feel that girls who aren't yet 16+ for example don't need to wear Niqab, but should wear a Hijab if they wish.
