I suggest to split this article into two while RTE is much more generic equation.

I fear that the formula for the Fluence rate in the case of point sources in infinite homogeneus media is wrong. The exponent of the first exponential term is not adimensional as it should be. 147.156.161.204 (talk) 09:51, 10 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Since the diffusion limit of the RTE equation was solved for the case of a delta-function source, doesn't that mean that every particular solution is solved?
