"Reception" section[edit]

A reception section is normal for an album, but there are better ways of incorporating the information that's in the one on this page into a biographical article such as this one. I suggest integrating the album descriptions (eg, who's on them, the instrumentation, the nature of the material) into the Career section. Then crate a "Style" or "Playing style" section and put descriptions (not non-descriptive praise) of his playing in there. And cut the rest, including everything that's not in English (if this is to be included, it must be translated, because this is the English Wikipedia), because long lists or sections of little but laudatory quotations are not desirable. I can provide some detailed examples if that would help, or look at some of the Featured or Good Articles that are jazz biographies (there's a list at Wikipedia:WikiProject Jazz). I've made the suggested changes. The content is obviously choppy and needs lots filled in, but the presentation of information is clearer and the overall structure is easier for the reader and more appropriate for an encyclopedia. EddieHugh (talk) 17:20, 12 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
