Assamese Brahmins of Sandilya gotra are inhabitants of Assam
I feel proud to say that my native place is in Mangaldai, Assam and we have a scattered number of Sandilya gotra Brahmins.

Spelling[edit]
Why is the page "Sandilya" whereas the text speaks of "Shandilya"? Robin Patterson (talk) 12:12, 12 July 2017 (UTC)
Room for doubt[edit]
Our family's oral history states that since Shandilya had great devotion towards Lord Chandra, they became family. So we worship moon god as ancestral worship. Shandilya is the nephew of lord Surya. Busydiggingsecrets (talk) 09:52, 20 March 2023 (UTC)
