Notable?[edit]

Is the information given in the article notable? 80.168.175.245 JamesBWatson (talk) 13:33, 23 January 2009 (UTC) [reply]

Since I wrote the above nobody has said that it is notable, and another comment has been written referring to Sean Boru as "a little known person". If nobody wishes to defend the article I shall propose it as an AfD. JamesBWatson (talk) 20:37, 12 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I withdraw my comments above: I have now found more information, which indicates that Sean Boru is somewhat more notable than I had realised. JamesBWatson (talk) 11:09, 27 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Subjective statements re: success of books[edit]

The statement that the biograph of Mike Carroll "received critical acclaim from the reading public" needs to be backed up by more than just the author's opinion it did. Book reviews? Are there any from published sources.

Likewise, the claim that it "went some way to changing the public persona of Carroll" also needs to be backed up by more than wishful thinking. Any news sources chart this change in public mood? We need more than the claim of the author that a little read book about a little known person changed any perceptions. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 77.101.252.249 (talk) 20:28, 7 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
