Remote Munros[edit]

I know this is subjective and everybody has ideas about the most remote Munros. E.J. Yeaman uses a system that combines inaccessability and height and has a "Remote Munro" list of;

  • 1 Ruadh Stac Mhor
  • 2 A' Mhaighdean
  • 3 Lurg Mhor
  • 4 Sgurr nan Ceathreamhnan
  • 5 Beinn Fhionnlaidh (Glen Cannich)
  • 6 Mullach a' Dheiragain
  • 7 Sgor an Lochan Uaine
  • 8 Bidein a' Choire Sheasgaich
  • 9 Cairn Toul
  • 10 Seana Bhraigh

Remote according to which criteria? I don't think "as the crow flies" mileages will work in this context. --MacRusgail 23:14, 21 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Spelling=[edit]

"Ceathreamhnan" violates Gaelic spelling rules. Is this the form used by the OS? If so, the correct spelling should be included too. --MacRusgail 23:14, 21 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not convinced that this article should be entitled "Sgùrr nan Ceathramhnan". The Ceathreamhnan spelling may be technically incorrect, but it is the one that is in common usage, including by most authorities on Scottish mountains and by the Ordnance Survey. IMHO this page should be moved back to the Ceathreamhnan spelling. One of the problems caused by this is that when searching for "Sgùrr nan Ceathreamhnan" in Google, this article doesn't even feature in the first page of results.
