Discussion of the photograph[edit]

The article discusses the photograph at File:BRAC villageorg 1.jpg (displayed on the right) in the Criticisms section:

The photo above—of a group of women seated in rows on the ground before a male NGO-officer who sits in a chair processing their payments—encapsulates another common critique. Solidarity groups may be composed entirely of women, but the staff who decide when and if they receive financial services are often dominated by males.

Unless the article references reliable sources that discuss the photograph in this manner, the paragraph quoted is considered to be original research, which is not permitted on Wikipedia per policy.

I presume that some of the sources in the Impact of microcredit article's section on the empowerment of women may discuss the issue, such as Parmar (2003) and may be used in this article, though I have not checked if they refer to solidarity lending. --Joshua Issac (talk) 16:18, 26 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
