Super Sonic is a charecter?

I believe Super Sonic should be excluded from the charecter list. It is irrelivent, Super Sonic isn't a seperate charecter; he's no more of a seperate charecter than Fire Mario is to Mario. Not that the Warehog should be excluded, as it is more of an alter-ego, and is critical to the gameplay and story, while Super Sonic, as far as we know, only appears beifly in the opening video. LightningLuigi (talk) 04:00, 22 July 2008 (UTC)

He is stated to appear at the end as a final battle. GENERALZERO (talk) 05:21, 22 July 2008 (UTC)

Still, it's unnessecary to think of him as a seperate charecter. The fact that the links for Sonic and Super Sonic go to the same page is enough evidence. LightningLuigi (talk) 14:38, 22 July 2008 (UTC)

Before AMIB's merging, we had a seperate article for superforms. Skeletal S.L.J.C.O.A.A.A.T.R. 06:26, 23 July 2008 (UTC)
Thank you, I now understand the original reason for he link. But now that the pages have merged, there is no reason for the link. LightningLuigi (talk) 13:57, 23 July 2008 (UTC)
Well, the Superforms are counted as seperate characters. And why shouldn't Super Sonic be there, if Were-Hog is? We know loads about Super. He's been around since the 1st game! Skeletal S.L.J.C.O.A.A.A.T.R. 14:07, 23 July 2008 (UTC)
Correction: He's been around since the 2nd game. N. Harmonik (talk) 16:58, 23 July 2008 (UTC)
You beat me to the correction. Anyway, speaking solely from a Wikipedia standpoint, Super Sonic isn't importent enough to be considered a charecter. He's discribed as "a faster and invulnerable version of [Sonic]", and only has two additional sentences discribing him. He just doesn't sound importent enough. As for the Warehog, his involvment in Unleased is very large in both its gameplay and story, and should be considered a seperate charecter. In fact, I've requested a breif discribtion of the Warehog to be added to the charecter list artical. But anyway, I respect your opinion, but I just feel Super Sonic isn't worth mentioning as a charecter. —Preceding unsigned comment added by LightningLuigi (talkcontribs) 17:27, 23 July 2008 (UTC)
We know much mor about Super Sonic than Werehog. Neither are a seperate character, just a different form of Sonic (IE: Sonic, Super Sonic, Hyper Sonic, Dark Sonic, Darkspine Sonic, Dark Super Sonic, and Werehog.) Though, the old Super Transformatio article would nice right about now... Skeletal S.L.J.C.O.A.A.A.T.R. 03:10, 24 July 2008 (UTC)
In that case, what if both were removed from the list, since neither are technicly considered charecters. —Preceding unsigned comment added by LightningLuigi (talkcontribs) 03:41, 24 July 2008 (UTC)
No. Just no. Skeletal S.L.J.C.O.A.A.A.T.R. 03:44, 24 July 2008 (UTC)

Wii Version

I have removed the link to the CVG article, which I have determined to be unreliable. They only cited the Nintendo Power article, which I have in my hands. The NP article mentions 2-D gameplay, but they never said anything about the Wii version only having 2-D gameplay. Besides, they even mentioned that "the camera will pan behind the hedgehog (á la Sonic and the Secret Rings)"; it will probably have the Klonoa-style 2.5-D gameplay that the other versions have. However, yes the Wii version is being developed specifically to take advantage of that system's capabilities, and that "the levels will be different, designed specifically for the Wii version", and although Dimps wasn't mentioned by name, it can be assumed at this time that they are indeed developing this version. However, the NP article also never said anything about a different engine (i.e., an engine different from the Hedgehog engine, which was never even mentioned in the article).

Therefore, I find that the CVG article is an unreliable source as they essentially misinterpreted the NP article, and I suggest we wait until more information about the Wii version is available. Brittany Ka (talk) 01:06, 4 May 2008 (UTC)

Fair enough, I wasn't sure about leaving it in myself. Now that the CVG article is not there, I have removed the references to Dimps as there are no sources for it. Also, the reference style needs to be formal (i.e ref tags and a cite template, state the facts then place the reference), rather than spelling it out ("According to Nintendo Power magazine..."), so I have removed that and placed a fact tag for someone with the actual issue to put into ref tags. SynergyBlades (talk) 12:59, 4 May 2008 (UTC)
I have the actual issue, but since it's a print publication, it's therefore not available for convenient linkage. I really don't know what you want me to do. I don't know how you can put a physical (i.e., non-online) print magazine into ref tags. I'm sorry, but this is the best I can do. Brittany Ka (talk) 15:10, 4 May 2008 (UTC)
You could use the cite news template. You can put in it all the info, even if there is no online version. ISD (talk) 15:12, 4 May 2008 (UTC)
Unfortunately, using that one made the reference list disappear for some reason, so I used the "cite journal" template. Brittany Ka (talk) 15:33, 4 May 2008 (UTC)
That's the one. Some extra info in the template would help, as it's currently missing at least the title when you look at it under the References section. Other useful info would be: does the mag have a volume number, what page(s) is the cited information on, who is the article author, what is the article's title, can you offer a small quote from the magazine article that would back up the Wii differences information in this entry? It's this sort of thing that's needed for verifiability, and I (along with others) have no access to fill in this information. SynergyBlades (talk) 17:30, 4 May 2008 (UTC)
Excellent update, thanks. :) SynergyBlades (talk) 22:26, 4 May 2008 (UTC)

Character List

Shouldn't we list Tails, Knuckles and Am as characters, even if they're not confirmed as playable yet? KJS77 Join the Revolution 03:50, 12 May 2008 (UTC)

Reliable source for their being in the game at all? Otherwise you've just said it yourself, they're not confirmed. SynergyBlades (talk) 10:09, 12 May 2008 (UTC)

And don't say PSM. It seems as if they were just creating spectulation.Skeletal_SLJCOAAATR_Soul_Striker_of_Vengence (talk) 00:21, 14 May 2008 (UTC)

The anon editors are now referencing Camp Sonic, which counts as a fan site, not a reliable source (note that Camp Sonic don't state where they actually get their information regarding characters). SynergyBlades (talk) 12:47, 14 May 2008 (UTC)

Is there any particular reason that the sourced information about players controlling someone other than Sonic gets removed from the Characters section on a somewhat regular basis? It's fairly important, I'd have thought, and it's now been placed in HTML comment tags; why? SynergyBlades (talk) 21:17, 2 June 2008 (UTC)

I did not remove it if you see the history I placed it like this < ! - - words go here - - > . --Lbrun12415 21:18, 2 June 2008 (UTC)
And as I said, it's been placed in HTML comments, so it is not visible in the article. Is this for any reason? SynergyBlades (talk) 21:30, 2 June 2008 (UTC)
Trying to make it look better, If you want you can undo it but I believe it more belongs with game play.--Lbrun12415 21:39, 2 June 2008 (UTC)

Tails has been confirmed to be playable in mini-games. It is in an interview somewhere, so if someone has it, they should add it to the list. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 142.162.37.223 (talk) 22:46, 2 July 2008 (UTC)

Yeah, that was unfortunate, as it was a good source you found. Think Lbrun12415 may have been a tad overzealous. I have added in as much relevant info as I could pull out from the article. SynergyBlades (talk) 22:20, 15 May 2008 (UTC)

Wait, if hes saving the world does he live in Mobius or Earth?--SxeFluff (talk) 04:10, 17 June 2008 (UTC)

The games always occur on earth

"Seamless" Transition

I've been thinking about the line that states that the game will "seamlessly transition" between the two modes (2-D gameplay and 3-D gameplay). This would imply that it will switch from one mode to another without any pausing or loading, or anything like that. However, we have yet to see that in any form (i.e., a gameplay video), and even then it may not represent the final version of the game. While most people would have an idea as to what "seamless" would look like, I nonetheless added the "dubious" tags to both instances of the statement because whatever the case, "seamless" could be another buzzword (like "reinvent" was) for "advertising" the game. Even if it comes from Sega themsleves, for all we know, the transition may not be as "seamless" as we are possibly being led to think when the game actually comes out. In other words, "seamless" could mean anything. However, what do the rest of you think? Should these statements be kept as they are? Brittany Ka (talk) 13:12, 8 June 2008 (UTC)

I wrote both of two so-called "buzzwords" you've flagged up (the first one being "reinvent") in the past and, since I'm not trying to advertise or big-up this game in any way, it's regrettable you feel that "buzzword" is a suitable description for my writings! However, I will remove the dubious tag on this one since, in this case, we have seen the seamless transition - in the trailer, you can see the gameplay switch on the jungle level, going from the 2D stage (the loop-the-loop) to the 3D (the dusty stretch with the canopies).
In addition, press releases etc. from Sega are the most reliable form of information we can include in the article since they come straight from the source. Wikipedia is about verifiablity, not truth, and so debating whether it will seamlessly transition or not in the final build is of no importance. SynergyBlades (talk) 13:21, 8 June 2008 (UTC)

Super Sonic?

How do we know that Super Sonic will be in this game? The Chaos Emeralds haven't been confirmed as in the game.([[User talk:Kurowoofwoof111|talk]]) (talk) 02:51, 10 June 2008 (UTC)

Not only was Super Sonic in the screenshots before the video game was even announced, the Chaos Emeralds were confirmed on the official website when Sonic Unleashed (Which is now called Sonic World Adventure) was first announced by Sega. Um...no, PLAY Magazine along with CampSonic confirmed it, and besides, that makes no sense what so ever. —Preceding unsigned comment added by GENERALZERO (talkcontribs) 18:59, 16 June 2008 (UTC)

I do recall NP to at one point to say "Luckily, Shadow, and Big will not appear in Secret Rings." They acted like jackasses to 2 really cool characters, and got proven wrong. Camp Sonic isn't very reliable, and PLAY just doesn't seem very reliable to me. I cartainly hope that Silver will appear. Skeletal_SLJCOAAATR (talk) 22:41, 16 June 2008 (UTC)

Well...yeah, I totally forgot about that. Play is reliable because they were quoting one of the makers of Unleashed, so Silver won't be making an appearance. —Preceding unsigned comment added by GENERALZERO (talkcontribs) 01:40, 17 June 2008 (UTC)

All of the current information in the article can be found in at least two references, should you choose to look, and most of them state their source: an interview, a press release, and so on. This information only comes from one source; given the highly speculative nature of what will happen in this title, and who will appear in it, reliability is of key importance. I have yet to see a major, reliable source report this information as fact. SynergyBlades (talk) 14:54, 20 June 2008 (UTC)

I'm gonna say, add them. If we've added characters like Dexter, Shade, and Omega to sections in TDB, when they've just gotten mentions. Even the Shade & Omega as PCs came from a rather unreliable source. So, i think that anyone that was mentioned by PLAY, NP, etc. should be added. We can't cite CS though. What the heck?

Why is it when I tried putting the side quests information back in that the gameplay and development sections kinda blended together? Unknown the Hedgehog (talk) 04:10, 25 June 2008 (UTC)

That would be because you don't know what you're doing. Firstly, you close a ref tag by using a forward slash after the opening brace, not before the closing one; secondly, you need to include a cite template - either web, journal or whichever is appropriate for your source - to include the required information for a reference. Just sticking a link between a pair of reference tags isn't really sufficient. If you do not know how to use these templates, copy and paste one from the existing article, and edit in the required info for your reference - there's plenty in the article already to get you started. SynergyBlades (talk) 14:26, 25 June 2008 (UTC)

Werehog (yes, I know...)

Sorry to drag this one up again. As you probably know, Sega is keeping quiet about the transformation at night, so there's precious little official information regarding it. However, I've been updating the references and found that at Sega's official UK site, the teaser trailer is called "Sonic Unleashed - Werehog Teaser Trailer" (stick your mouse pointer over it). This is the only official information regarding the nature of the transformation, or its name, that we have. As such, I do now think we ought to change "Werewolf" in the characters section, to "Werehog" - as much as we were all dead set against it being edited to this by anonymous IP editors. Your thoughts? Please disregard personal feelings about the name itself - I'm interested in your views from an encyclopedic/Wikipedic standpoint. SynergyBlades (talk) 16:24, 25 June 2008 (UTC)

That appears to be the offical name, unless proven wrong, by Wiki's standrds, we should be using it. Skeletal_SLJCOAAATR (talk) 20:01, 25 June 2008 (UTC)

Stub?

Should consider the Sonic Unleashed article a stub? (The article almost has 12,000 bytes.) Unknown the Hedgehog (talk) 17:00, 25 June 2008 (UTC)

This article is no way near small enough to be a stub; in addition, a stub (or the expand template you added to the article) implies there is much more information that could be added, if only someone took the time to do so. However, this is not the case. This is an upcoming game with minimal information; when more actually surfaces, it will be added as it comes in. SynergyBlades (talk) 17:03, 25 June 2008 (UTC)
I could ask Red Phoenix, (the head of both the Sega Project and it's assessment dept.) to assess it?Fairfieldfencer FFF 17:08, 25 June 2008 (UTC)
Well, it might be worthwhile to do so for the Sega Project (the template at the top of this talk page describes it as stub-class). I contend that, as the Stub template reads "you can help by expanding it", without a decent body of information to do so it makes little sense to display it. The "future-game" template already demonstrates that there is bound to be little information and that this will change shortly enough as more info comes out. SynergyBlades (talk) 17:21, 25 June 2008 (UTC)
I get most of my information from Camp Sonic's fact sheet(there's plenty of information there), and they get most of their information from reliable sources. Here's the problem, I can hardly ever find where they got their information from (yes I know it says where, but, I couldn't find them at Google). I looked everywhere on the Internet for the Sonic Unleashed fact sheet (that was when I was looking up the multiple branching pathways). So this story in a nutshell, there's plenty information, just can't find them. Unknown the Hedgehog (talk) 01:43, 26 June 2008 (UTC)
Exactly, which is a shame, because it makes it unsuitable for Wikipedia. Many of their quotes haven't got enough information to reference with. eg. Official Playstation Magazine is cited for characters - the cite journal template needs issue, pages, article author, issue number, and so on. Besides which, even as an intermediary for information, they are still a fansite and so the information reported could be unreliable: I could set up a fansite and claim that Sonic transforms into a pink fluffy bunny half way through the game and say, vaguely, that it came from a magazine.
So let me rephrase: there is precious little further information that has a reliable and verifiable source that can be addded. That said, take your multiple branching pathways - I managed to find a reliable source for that and, lo and behold, it was on the official UK Sega page. Keep vigilant, the info could be out there in a more reliable capacity. :) SynergyBlades (talk) 01:52, 26 June 2008 (UTC)
I agree, and here's another thing about Camp Sonic (lol we're going off subject), Camp Sonic hasn't really updated their cite around Sonic Unleashed. What I mean is that Camp Sonic has just been talking about their giveaway and how the fans say they saw balloons in the new trailer. Unknown the Hedgehog (talk) 02:47, 26 June 2008 (UTC)
RP (Red Phoenix) says he'll assess it when he has the time. Oh, and I thought I should point it out that I was the one who assessed it originally after I discovered it.Fairfieldfencer FFF 16:56, 26 June 2008 (UTC)

Camp Sonic

I know SynergyBlades and I have already talked alot about Camp Sonic, but let's see what you think about the cite. Just type in what you think are the ups and downs to Camp Sonic. Unknown the Hedgehog (talk) 03:37, 26 June 2008 (UTC)

We can't cite it because it's a fansite. Wiki+Fansite=NO GO Skeletal_S.L.J.C.O.A.A.A.T.R. (talk) 17:55, 26 June 2008 (UTC)

There really is no reason to cite us at this point. So far, we've only been medium for bringing the latest news from many sources to one place, and I've done my best for leaving a trail back to the original sources. If folks believe we are unreliable, that's fine (again, we're just posting straight from what the more official outlets are stating, and we've uploaded scans of every print we get our information from). After seeing the confusion my site seems to have caused here, I'll try to do a better job with posting issue numbers/page numbers/etc for all you folks that happen to see things at Camp Sonic in the future. As a side note, I should say that we've got scans available for most of the magazine references currently missing a corresponding image [[[2]]]. CampSonic (talk) 05:33, 29 June 2008 (UTC)

It's not that we don't trust you, and that we're confused, it's that, here in Wiki, no matter what, we can't cite anything that was posted on a fansite, even if you have a scan. If you post a link to say, an IGN article that isn't from the boards, but, a real article confirming the info that you gave us, then we can cite IGN as a reliable source. I hope that you understand where i'm coming from.  Skeletal S.L.J.C.O.A.A.A.T.R.  02:08, 30 June 2008 (UTC)

I'm not sure you've understood the problem with referencing a fan site. Read my reply to you at the bottom of the discussion page on the latest Camp Sonic scans, and let me know if you're still confused. Basically, whilst Wikipedia objects to directly citing fansites for any information due to reliability concerns, we can still browse these sites to find new, unverified sources of information; should these be verifiable by finding and checking the original source of the information, we can then cite the original sources in the article - no fansite is cited at all. Synergy/Blades (Talk) 02:35, 30 June 2008 (UTC)
No, I actually fully understand. This is why I said "There really is no reason to cite us". We have nothing to offer that isn't offered in an Official source already. I only meant that you may link to any scans as needed if you find that they aren't made available elsewhere. CampSonic (talk) 19:47, 30 June 2008 (UTC)
Sorry, I was talking to SLJCOAAATR (hence why my reply comes underneath his). We can link to your scans on the talk page, but not in the article itself. A journal cite is necessary in place of scanned images. Synergy/Blades (Talk) 21:21, 30 June 2008 (UTC)

Character Conflict

I've been noticing that Werewolf Sonic and Werehog Sonic are being tossed around in the article. Sinc the Werehog and Super Sonic are still Sonic wouldn't be better to just leave Sonic's name?GENERALZERO (talk) 16:10, 27 June 2008 (UTC)

I say, leave it alone. Because, we have a seperate page for super forms, and on Channel, both Sonic & Super have seperate profiles.  Skeletal S.L.J.C.O.A.A.A.T.R.  22:36, 27 June 2008 (UTC)

I put Werehog in quotes to signify that it's the only official name we have available on the subject and that, as incorrect as Werehog sounds, it's what is in the reference next to it. But yeah, I don't mind leaving it as just "Sonic". SynergyBlades (talk) 22:48, 27 June 2008 (UTC)

It does however show a new level though which is not mentioned in the Wikipedia article ("Greece" and "Europe" so far). Does anyone have the quoted magazine that can check if there's a name or any further info for this level, or perhaps a list of magazine info for the cite journal template? We could then at least include a small half-sentence indicating cited screenshots have shown a desert-based level. Synergy/Blades (Talk) 01:10, 28 June 2008 (UTC)
Egypt perhaps? GENERALZERO (talk) 01:47, 28 June 2008 (UTC)

Once again,

Here on Wiki, we can not cite fansites. Sorry, and thanks for the heads up. Could you provide a link for us?  Skeletal S.L.J.C.O.A.A.A.T.R.  01:02, 30 June 2008 (UTC)

We aren't citing a fansite, we're citing the journal (i.e magazine). Think of Camp Sonic as an intermediary for (potentially reliable, potentially unreliable) information. We can go over their info, and if any info can be found to be reliable on thorough inspection (we find the original website or journal), we cite the original site or journal as the source, bypassing Camp Sonic altogether. In this instance, the scans are very high-res, unlikely to be fake, so we can go ahead and cite Nintendo Power. The scans themselves detail most of the info needed for the journal citing template, such as the article page numbers, magazine title and date, whilst a quick Google search finds me further info such as the publisher. Hope that helps explain? Synergy/Blades (Talk) 02:30, 30 June 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for the heads-up, managed to find enough information for the journal template and proceeded to cram in as much information as I could glean from the pages. If I've missed anything, feel free to add it; use the following ref tag for the reference to be correct (click edit, then copy and paste the reference tag: [1]) Synergy/Blades (Talk) 01:46, 30 June 2008 (UTC)

Night time

Sega really is keeping the Night time sequence of the game hush hush. Just look here at the top left [3] Unknown the Hedgehog 02:57, 30 June 2008 (UTC)

Can't think why - anyone who cares enough already knows. However, it does pose a bit of a problem for the Characters section - the interview says clearly that, "literally" speaking, Sonic is the only playable character. It implies, very strongly, that we'll be playing as Werewolf/hog Sonic - as I think we all know anyway - but we can't indicate this in the article yet, as there has been nothing official on this. Synergy/Blades (Talk) 14:19, 30 June 2008 (UTC)

Images

The image I just put got put down because it was not fair use. What tag shut I put on the image then? I was getting ready to put up a screenshot of Sonic in 2D mode and I was wondering what tag I should put on that. It's still from Gamespot. Unknown the Hedgehog 21:44, 30 June 2008 (UTC)

You cannot use the image as you get it straight from Gamespot. Images may be uploaded under fair use, but they must be (as is written in the tag you selected) web-resolution. The shots you uploaded are direct, full-resolution rips and are no way near to meeting this criterion. The recommended size is a maximum of 300px along the images' longest side. In addition to this, you will need to provide a detailed fair-use rationale as to why the image is being used. You can do this by adding the Non-free use rationale template which provides you with a place to add your rationale, along with a few other fields you can fill in (see this image, used in the article, as an example). Lastly, remember that this is not a fansite and we are not aiming for the largest collection of images we can. The particular screenshot you added differs very little to the existing shot demonstrating 3D mode. A screenshot of 2D action might be acceptable, although we already have three images for a fairly short article; I will leave that judgement up to you. Forget what I said earlier. I found the link just go to the Characters section and click on the link next to Miles Tails Prower. :) Unknown the Hedgehog 03:41, 2 July 2008 (UTC)
You referenced a fansite, as I've mentioned on your talk page, which we do not use as a general rule due to their unreliability. Here's a few examples as to why: "According to reader accounts [...]", "In addition, Sega representatives reportedly [...]", "Reportedly, the Power Unlimited article came with no new screenshots. We are working hard to independently verify this information" (this fansite hasn't even seen it themselves). Synergy/Blades (Talk) 13:50, 2 July 2008 (UTC)

Not sure if this trail is going to lead anywhere seeing that the original text is in Dutch, but I thought I would shed some light here. The publication is real "Power Unlimited Issue #175, Effe langs bij Sega in Tokio" ([4]). Someone sent me a Photograph of the article this morning ([5]), and I did my best at transcripting it to be translated through Google Translate ([6]). That's just the plain text in Dutch, you'll have to throw it through Google Translate yourself. Someone from Holland dropped me a much better translation on Camp Sonic ([7]) if you want to read through it to confirm yourselves (otherwise, use Google Translate, it will just be a lot more broken, though it says the same thing). Not suggesting you cite us, but if you want to cite the magazine, those are the materials I can offer. CampSonic (talk) 17:53, 2 July 2008 (UTC)

Wikipedia policy on non-English sources can be found here. If we are to add such information we need an original language quote for the cite journal, while any translates done by editors goes in the main article. I recommend only adding the bit about levels, because clearly the Amy/Werehog bit is not official in the sense that that should not have been shown in the first place - heck, we've not even got official conformation of the Werehog itself other than outside of the UK official site's teaser trailer title. Synergy/Blades (Talk) 19:51, 2 July 2008 (UTC)
I've gone ahead and done the levels. The quote about the boblsed, Tails minigames, and playing as Werehog Sonic comes under "according to reports"; unlike the reported levels which the author clearly states he has seen himself in video form, it does not sound as though the article author has actually seen these. Synergy/Blades (Talk) 19:56, 2 July 2008 (UTC)

Town Stage

I was thinking about putting up a new image of a town stage in a birds eye view. Should I wait until the article is bigger or should I go ahead and put it up? Unknown the Hedgehog 17:29, 3 July 2008 (UTC)

Wait until it's bigger (there's plenty of images for now for this size article). I recommend waiting until we get a Levels section or some such put in (which in turn needs more official information), when it will make sense to describe the town stages in further detail. Synergy/Blades (Talk) 17:37, 3 July 2008 (UTC)

Versions

The August 2008 issue of Nintendo Power (#231, the 20th Anniversary Issue) states that the Wii version's levels are unique to that system, and that the 360/PS3 version will have different levels... does this mean it is not a port? i'd rather not buy the same game twice just to get the whole thing... The wii's version is being made by a separate team. I'll post the text below:

"Although the Wii Version is being made by a separate team altogether, that team has always kept in step and cooperated with the PS3/Xbox 360 team, sharing the same development direction and resources. Beyond that, however, it has tried to include a fresh sense of playing via the Wii's unique interface. Therefore, the stage designs are 100% original to the Wii version of Sonic Unleashed even though it shares the same motifs with the other versions. In particular, the teams that worked on Sonic Advance 2 and Sonic Rush helped us a lot on the Wii version."

RingtailedFoxTalkContribs 02:31, 11 July 2008 (UTC)

It is not a port. See the Development section for an explanation, but essentially they're worked on separately in two "silos". The game engine is an existing internal Sega engine, modified slightly, so there is no engine porting; as far as the levels go, they will share the same motifs - i.e both versions will have a desert level, a Europe level, a Greece level, etc. - but the level designs and layouts will be totally different. So nothing is really being ported between the two silos. The only porting going on will be between the Wii and PS2; as the PS2 and Wii versions are being developed together, expect the PS2 levels to be the same, but downgraded to fit the PS2's less powerful hardware.Synergy/Blades (Talk) 02:35, 11 July 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for the info Generalzero, not even Campsonic or Sonic Stadium released info on it yet but i sent a note to them. The trailer looks tight and I think they might make Tokyo another level due to the kanji in some parts of the video or it could confirm that NY is a night level. Also in the starting of the video they showed a full moon and I remember that Sonic Adventure 2 it got destroyed and shouldn't Werewolf or Werehog be unleashed ONLY on full moon not just when it is dark. --StrongCool (talk) 02:31, 12 July 2008 (UTC)
Man I just realized that it would be so tight if New York was a night level cause WereSonic would randomly just rampage through traffic, crashing and throwing cars and flying through building. Werehog <--> Werewolf

The official name is Werehog. Not Werewolf. Werewolf doesn't make any sense. Sonic is a Hedgehog, he gets transformed into a beast like form of a Hedgehog. (Giving the name Werehog.) Sonic doesn't change into a different animal. Unknown the Hedgehog 18:13, 17 July 2008 (UTC)
